On-Farm Agronomy Advising

We help customers maximize profits on every acre with recommendations that are also environmentally sound. From planning to application inputs to harvest, our agronomists and other staff provide information and tools to help you succeed on your farm.

Our highly educated team is well qualified to provide only the most sound agronomic advice and precision farming services. We use an outside research firm and make data available to our customers shortly after harvest.

We understand production systems and products. We continually evaluate them in our own backyard, using replicated university-style trials. That’s why we make recommendations for your farm with complete confidence.

ACI has a rich history of putting growers first. With over 100 years of service in the region, we have partnered with generations of growers, and it’s our goal to continue serving generations to come. A scientific focus integrated with our reliable team helps growers achieve the best yields and prices. We stay on top of emerging technologies and practices and provide them to our customers. We pride ourselves on valuing grower success above sales. Here are some of the ways we are putting our customers first.

Seed Sales

Our agronomists are just a phone call away from helping you plan your rotation for next year and years to come. They’ll help you make sound choices by giving you important information about disease, weed and insect management along with insight about how crop rotation can help manage these pests.

soil_testing

Soil Testing and Nutrient Recommendations

We quickly test and return soil results so you can make informed decisions on every field every time fertilizer is applied. With every test, we consult on fertilizer choices – at no additional cost. Testing also shows soybean cyst presence, soybean variety placement, potential IDC concerns and more.

Living Proof

Many companies plant plots each summer, but ACI takes it one step further. We use a mix of replicated plots and in-field trails; we call it Living Proof. This means our independent research is cutting edge and university quality.

SCN Research Project

We recognize that SCN is a major problem for our soybean producers. The main method of preventing yield loss from SCN is varietal resistance. Seed Companies provide incomplete info with a vague coding system for resistance levels. It can be hard determining which varieties truly offer the most resistance.

Trace Genomics

The agriculture industry is changing fast with new technologies regularly popping up with the latest “field fixes.” ACI has done its homework and is partnering with Trace Genomics to bring producers precise soil data. Trace Genomics provides growers with more than just soil chemistry; they provide biological data like what diseases are lurking in your soil. Read more about Trace Genomics here. This data can provide growers with valuable insight into varietal selection, fertilizer needs, and even seed treatment on a field-to-field basis.

Bushel Balance

Using 16 years of data, ACI created Bushel Balance to calculate how many corn bushels at a certain selling price a grower needs to produce in order to break even on a per-acre basis of corn fertilizer application. This calculation can help growers select optimal times for locking in fertilizer volumes and prices.
